About
Big Harvest is an endless 3D tractor farming game. Turn a patch of grass into a busy farm and keep it growing for as long as you like: there is no fixed season and your farm is saved every day.
Drive the machines. Steer a tractor with a plow, a seeder and a fertilizer sprayer, then switch to a combine harvester to cut the crops. Hold SPACE to work and drive over the field.
Start small. You begin with an old tractor and an old combine. Earn money to buy better machines, a sprayer and more fields, and hire farmhands who drive their own machines.
Guard the pasture. Build a sheep pasture, keep the trough full of grain and sell the wool. At night wolves come for your sheep: honk the horn, drive close, build a stronger fence, buy a guard dog or floodlights or hire a herder.
Run the farm. The grain tank fills up, so drive to the silo to unload and get paid. Fuel runs out, so visit the pump. In the garage you buy new seeds, wider implements, a bigger tank, a stronger engine, dairy cows and scarecrows.
Keep it fresh. Random events hit: a market boom, or a hail storm that wrecks ripe crops, so harvest in time. Hire farmhands that drive their own machines.
Mind the weather and the crows. Rain makes crops grow faster. Crows try to eat your crops, but you can scare them away with the horn. Each day one product sells for 60% more.
Everything is generated. The machines, the farm and the engine sound are built and synthesized in code with three.js while relaxing music plays.
Customers come to you. Farmers drive their trucks to the loading docks and order a crop. Load their trucks in time for a premium price. Later orders mix several crops and ask for plants you do not grow yet. Pay your workers every few nights or they quit.
How big can your farm get?
How to play
Goal: build the biggest farm you can. The game never ends by itself: it saves at the start of every day and you finish when you want (pause menu or day summary). Stars at $8000, $30000 and $80000 earned.
Controls
- WASD / arrows: drive. Hold SPACE: work
- 1-4, Q or mouse wheel: machine (plow, seeder, sprayer, combine)
- 5-8 or E: seeds (wheat, corn, sunflower, potato)
- C: camera zoom. H: horn. P: pause. M: sound
- Touch: stick plus WORK, MACHINE, SEED and HORN buttons
How a day works
- Select the plow and hold SPACE over grass. Plowed soil turns brown.
- Select the seeder and a seed and drive over the brown soil.
- When crops ripen, select the combine and drive over them to fill your tank.
- Stop on the SELL pad by the silo: the grain is sold automatically.
- Stand on the FUEL pad to refill. With no fuel you are towed and pay a fee.
- Stop on the GARAGE pad and press SPACE to buy upgrades.
Growing the farm
- You start with an old tractor and combine. In the garage buy better machines, the sprayer, and the South and East fields.
- Farmhands and the herder earn a daily wage that piles up. Every 3rd night is payday: pay in the garage (LIVESTOCK tab, first item) before the night ends or all workers quit.
- The sheep pasture needs feed: bring wheat, corn or sunflowers to the FEED pad. Sheep give wool, sold at the silo.
- Wolves come at night (from day 2). Follow the red arrow and press H at the pasture, or buy a stronger fence, a dog, floodlights or a herder.
Orders and events
- Customers (top left) arrive in trucks at the three LOAD pads and order crops. Drive onto their pad with the crop in your tank: it sells at 45% above market, plus a bonus for a complete order. Waiting too long makes them leave angry. After a few nights orders mix several crops (for example 20 corn + 20 potatoes), even ones you have not unlocked yet, so buy seeds and land in time.
- A market boom raises prices. Hail is announced 14 seconds ahead, so harvest fast.
- Hire up to two farmhands in the garage. They work alone and sell at 80%.
Tips
- Fertilized tiles give double yield and grow faster.
- Wider implements, bigger tanks and stronger engines speed everything up.
- Crows show a warning bar: press H or buy a scarecrow.
- Cows give milk, sold when you unload.
- The product with the gold ring sells for 60% more today.
How it fits “Farm or Farming”
The challenge is "FUN game", so Big Harvest never ends: you play for as long as you like and the farm keeps growing.
- Endless. No fixed season. Every new day brings more customers, more wolves and more events. Your farm is saved at the start of each day, so you can continue later, and you finish it yourself when you want to see your result.
- Customers change. At first they only want what you grow, but after a few nights orders mix several crops (for example 20 corn and 20 potatoes) and ask for plants you do not grow yet, so you must buy new seeds and more land.
- Pay your people. Workers must be paid every few nights in the garage. If you do not pay, they quit.
- Customers drive up. Farmers arrive in their trucks at the loading docks and place an order for a crop. Bring the goods and load their truck before they lose patience to earn a premium price and a bonus.
- Start small, grow big. An old tractor and old combine at first, then better machines, a fertilizer sprayer, two more fields and farmhands with daily wages.
- A pasture that needs care. Feed your sheep with grain and guard them at night against wolves with the horn, a stronger fence, a dog, floodlights or a herder.
- Never the same twice. Market booms, hail storms, rain, crows, and a product that sells for 60% more each day.
- Real machines in 3D. Plow, sow, spray and harvest with a tractor and a combine, with a follow camera and a zoom-out view (C).
